1951 was the second year in a row that these beautiful cars broke sale records with roughly 19,000 Cadillac Fleetwood sold that year. The 51 Caddy is originally from the United Kingdom but has been brought back to the U. S. to be back on its home turf. Putting the push behind this historical piece of Machinery is the original 331 CID V8 from the factory with some added chromed Cadillac valve covers. The 5. 4L V8 is paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission that shifts nicely & will carry you down the road. The engine was professionally removed & rebuilt about 9 years ago with only 50 miles on it since that occurred. The Mexican Blue paint on this caddy is in terrific condition, the car was repainted during its total body restoration approx. 12 years ago and really catches the eye of the other drivers on the road. This isn-t even including all the chrome encasing this car to give it some true flare. Powered by what appears to be the 331 CID V8 it came from the factory with (the serial number on the engine matches the VIN tag on the A-pillar), along with what appears to be the Hydra-Matic automatic transmission that it was born with, it's quite evident that this vintage Caddy has been well cared for over 70 years. The engine was professionally removed & rebuilt about 15 years ago and has only a few thousand miles on it since. The Mexican Blue paint on this cool Fleetwood is in remarkable condition for its age, having been resprayed about 17 years ago. The chrome is also in tip top shape and shines brightly in the sun from every angle. During the restoration, the car was updated with a new fuel tank, new fuel lines and pump, a new water pump, new radiator, new coolant hoses and lines, new brakes, conversion from 6 volts electrical system to a 12-volt system, the carburetor...
