This 3100 is a great example of the 'Advance Design' series of pickups that Chevrolet introduced after World War II and sold until the end of the 1955 model year. You get a good idea of the quality this restored Chevy pickup offers from the get-go with a bold Red paintjob, full wood pickup bed and shiny Riddler aluminum wheels all the way around. Small details like the LED taillights go a long way to completing the build on this 3100. Under the hood there's a sea of chrome that will stand out at any car show- the 350 CID small block Chevy motor has been fitted with a Holley Demon 4bbl carburetor, exhaust headers, power steering/power brakes and an aluminum radiator for performance enhancement. Tied to the engine and turning the rear wheels is a 3-speed automatic transmission. Disc brakes are present on the front wheels of this 1952 Chevrolet which should assist with stopping capabilities. Have you ever thought to yourself, wouldn-t it be cool if a -52 Bel Air handled like a sports car? Well, you don-t have to imagine it any more. This Bel Air has exactly that. This car was fully restored and fully modified at the same time. So you start with a C4 Corvette chassis as a solid foundation and upgrade it. Then you add a great drivetrain package. A GM Performance TPI 350 CID fuel injection engine, bolt it to a 700R4 four speed automatic transmission, replace the driveshaft with an all aluminum one piece unit. Newly completed in 2022, this patina-finished 3100 is a build that has taken place over the last decade & now is ready for a new garage. Power is supplied from the built 4. 8 LS running through the 4L80E automatic transmission with a TCU controller, a 3000 stall and down to ground compliments of the Currie Ford 9' Posi rear end, some 3. 50 gears, a 4-link rear & QA1 rear coil overs. The front suspension is a Mustang II rack & pinion and there are disc brakes all the way around. There is more than adequate power coming out of that LS & this truck is just flat fun to drive! With the displacement of all the engines in the LS family, the 4. 8L is probably the closest you'll get to an 'under-the-radar' LS. But that's good news for you for basic cruising, but thanks to its stout iron block, the 4. 8L LS can support BIG horsepower, particularly if you're adding forced induction like a turbo or supercharger. Ok, I have seen many Chevrolet 3100 pickups but this one causes the jaw to drop. Fresh from a restoration where the body brackets and frame were powder coated for great looks and to keep them rust free for years. The body of this classic truck is a bright woodland green with black fenders and running boards. Classic.
