The Bel Air is America's classic and we couldn't be happier to have another one in the stable temporarily.

Staying true to the originality this bad boy has an inline 6 with a three on the tree manual transmission. There is little in the way of optional equipment or extras in the 50s, but that ground is made up via smiles per mile! This car garners attention at every corner. Gas stations turn into gatherings as you try and fill your tank.

These cars are really adventurous to drive. The three on the tree is very simply once the pattern is learned, and a bit easier than a traditional floor shift. There's little in the way of extra, but the brakes and steering feel good.

This Bel Air is finished in a 2-stage, 2-tone off white/metallic blue exterior paint that shows well, and with all the chrome trim, and bumpers, she just looks right! The custom wheels also add to the appeal of this fine example. She is powered by a 235 CID Inline 6 cylinder that is mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. This cool old 53 Bel Air 2 door hardtop is a rare gem. The seller claims it's all original survivor but has no documents to back it up. That said, the patina and overall condition makes a strong argument for the claim. The mint green paint has fading in the usual spots for a near 70-year-old car that's spent time outside as well as weathered chrome on the bumpers and some of the grill trim. There's no rot on the body and the floors are in good shape. The interior is wrapped in two-toned green and vinyl and cloth interior with good paint on the dash and sharp looking chrome trim through the interior. In 1953, the Chevrolet Bel Air was a recipient of newly redesigned sheet metal which included newly designed body panels and a newly designed front and rear.
