Great looking pickup folks, as if it were plucked from the set of 'Lassie' or one of the other beloved late 50s-60's TV shows and sent forward in time. The paint, interior and brightwork all look good, making this a fun vehicle to knock around in. The beginning of the 60's was here, and the cool looking transition style works really well! Under the hood you'll find a neat and tidy inline 235 cubic inch 'Thriftmaster' 6-cylinder mated to Chevrolets durable 4 speed manual transmission. 1960 was the debut of Chevrolet's C/K series pickups even though the Apache nameplate remained. The 'C', which is what we have here, denoted two wheel drive and the 'K-, would denote 4. 1960 was the first year to have independent front suspension which gives this panel a great ride. This particular Panel truck has been completely redone from top to bottom. The little 283 has been pulled and in its place sets a very healthy 454 big block that has been dressed up with some chrome accessories such as valve covers, alternator, and a breather with an exposed breather element to top everything off. Mated up to the big block is one of the most popular transmissions that has ever been built, a Turbo 400. Not only does this give you an unreal amount of low end grunt but it is geared to also give you the option to actually cruise at highway speeds. This iconic body styled El Camino has undergone a full frame off restoration and ready to be enjoyed. The 350-small block V8 engine was rebuilt less than 1,000 miles ago and is mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The whole engine bay is clean and organized and has been sprayed with a durable liner. During the rebuilt of the 350 the valve covers were painted red and silver to match the paint theme. There was also a Holley Carburetor, chrome air cleaner, and Weiand intake has been added to make the engine show ready. For a more comfortable drive, power steering and power brakes were installed. Looking over appealing exterior you will notice shiny red paint with silver striping on the hood and fenders. There is also tons of chrome that is in great condition all over this El Camino. In the bed a dark stained wood with chrome inlay and even durable sprayed liner have all been applied.
