Based on the popular Transporter van the Pickup was a real handy vehicle for tradesmen and private owners alike. With it's lightweight construction and fuel efficient drivetrain these pickups didn't have much competition and were considered by many to be in a class of their own. This particular example is quite handsome in it's burgundy/white two tone paint job and white wall tires. As you walk around the vehicle you'll notice nice details like the mesh headlight covers, fully painted bed and bumper mounted fog light. Take a seat inside the cab and you're greeted to a custom leather interior in beige and black. The diamond quilted leather is also found on the headliner. Out back the Pickup bed is quite handy with it's flat bed and each side folds down for easy loading....

This beauty received a rotisserie restoration and nearly everything on it has been replaced with new parts or completely rebuilt parts. All the original panels remain on the car and they have been painted in Fords 1982 color Pastel French Vanilla paint code 3487, and Sherbert Pearl paint code 61303. The car is powered by a new fully rebuilt 1776 CC motor. The motor has received; new eagle cam and gear, new lifters, new valves, new heavy duty valve springs, new valve guides, new rocker shaft with roller tips, heavy duty pushrods, reconditioned crank with chambered oil holes, and a high volume oil pump. All this is paired to a rebuilt 4 speed manual transmission. It has been converted to a 12 volt system and an electrical fuel pump. The pickup sides drop down and give this VW an extremely cool look.
