1964 AMC Rambler

View Description

The Rambler is an automobile manufactured by the American Motors Corporation (AMC) between 1958 and 1969. It was the second incarnation of AMC's forerunner. The second-generation Rambler compact was sold under the Nash and Hudson Motors marques from 1954 and 1955. Many viewed the second-generation design as the best looking and were arguably the most attractive compacts of all time in Detroit in the early 1960s. Originally sporting a white paint job, this beautiful Rambler has gone through light restoration work in the last decade as well as routine maintenance. It now sports a fresh coat of bright red paint that really pops with the black leather interior and top. The inline 6 powerplant has had a complete engine rebuild and is paired to the original 3 speed manual transmission. That too was given attention as well with components such as the pressure plate, clutch disk, release bearing being replaced and having the flywheel resurfaced. All necessary bushings and seals were replaced as well. Additional features included with this AMC include an automatic convertible top, AM Radio, Hub Caps and white wall tires that really make a statement either driving down the road or presenting itself stationary in your garage. This...
