Starting with the fiberglass body, the fit and finish is superior to other company-s manufacturing AC Cobra-s. The body has been covered in a PPG Demon Orange with Wimbledon White Stripes. The interior is tan leather with a chrome driver-s roll bar, 4 point safety harnesses, VDO instrument gauges and a Rosewood steering wheel to finish it off. The chassis is made from 2x4 rectangular steel tubing, and it has been powder coated for a durable long lasting finish. A fuel safe fuel cell and driveshaft loop has been added for safety. The suspension is a front wishbone design with coil over shocks, and the rear is comprised of rear multilink control arms that are fully adjustable with coil over shocks. 1965 was the first year for the big three auto companies having cars emerging in the muscle car segment. Chrysler pulled out all the stops in its drag race program. One of the most feared & successful cars of its era was the model A990 Dodge Coronet. This Cornet is a tribute which had only a very limited run. It was built at the Lynch Road assembly Plant in Michigan. The A990 was a factory-built race car, only 101 units were built between 1964 and 1965 and there are fewer than 25 survivors today. This 1965 Dodge Coronet has a 440 big block built with a SCAT Stroker kit coming in with over 500ci, blue printed and balanced, with many modifications. The frame has been strengthened to prevent body twisting and handle the increased torque and horsepower. It has been slightly altered from the original A990 specs to make it more street able and reliable to drive.
