The Fastback Mustang only has 5000 miles since the restoration in 2003. Starting life originally as a Gold 6 cylinder Mustang, this little pony has come a long way. Deciding to give this Fastback more of an iconic -Bullitt- look, the Mustang was repainted in a deep Emerald Green (Volvo #47748). Sure, it-s not exactly Dark Highland Green, but the 1st thing everybody says is -it reminds me of that movie Steve McQueen was in-. The metallic in the paint really gleams when the sun hits it A Toploader 4-speed manual transmission adds to the fun factor, as you shift through the gears! The original T-Code inline six wasn-t going to be enough muscle, so a 351W engine has taken its place. The 351W comes equipped with 4 barrel carburetor, headers and Flowmaster mufflers to give good performance with a healthy sound. The restoration started with a low mileage original car and some engine upgrades were performed along the way to bring a bit more pep in its step. All original parts that were replaced can go along with the vehicle. It had a new intake manifold, 4 barrel carburetor, heads, and electronic ignition for easier starts. While the stock engines in 1965 ranged from 170 CID to 273 CID, this Dart is packing heat with a 340 CID V8 that was bored out to 416 CID and a 727 automatic transmission.
