This half year, inline 6 Mustang comes very well documented and we are happy to have it. Under the hood is the original 6 cylinder engine that came with this car but it has been recently rebuilt with all new internals. Mated to it is also an original 4 speed automatic transmission. Mustang-fever had gripped America by the time this car came out of the factory; when Ford released the 'Pony Car', it was groundbreaking and was the Dearborn-based manufacturer's biggest success since the release of the Model A in the late 1920's. This 1965 is a C-code car, meaning it came with the all-important 289 CID V8 and a 2-barrel carburetor from the factory. We are pleased to inform you that this Mustang is a numbers-matching car too (as stated by the seller), with just under 69,000 original miles (stated by the seller and backed by the 'Box A Mileage' Title). Furthermore, we have copies of original registration and sales paperwork showing the car was purchased in Phoenix, Arizona and has remained there ever since with just two registered owners (as stated by the seller). A real gem! There's been some upgrades to that 289 block including the addition of a 4bbl carburetor, aluminum intake manifold, aluminum radiator and exhaust headers feeding dual exiting pipes. A 3-speed automatic transmission shifts this Mustang from standstill to racing Pony in a flash!
