1965 AMC Rambler

View Description

At the turn of the 60s Rambler was looking to update their aging Rambler Six and Rebel to offer more options in an effort to supply the demand from different markets. The Rambler Classic would see production between 1961-1966 and see 3 generations in that time. Here we have a 1965 Model, and a 2-Door Hardtop and what a beauty she is. The two-tone Seaside Aqua/Marina paint looks really good and takes you back in time. The aqua and teal interior match and are in good order. Under the hood is the 232ci Inline 6-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed manual transmission that we all know as '3-on-the-tree. ' This car runs and drives and does it in style. We know the last 2 owners and former owner acquired it from his neighbor so its been a local car for some time. This car comes with set of 4 original 65 Rambler Wheel Covers, original 65 Rambler owner's manual, many receipts, original sales brochure sealed in plastic,...

1965 AMC Rambler

View Description

The 65 marlin was first an attempt to eat into the Fastback Mustangs market share. They were quick to finds that was a lofty goal and was remarketed as a personal luxury car with its very nice and clean sophisticated interior. After one year the Rambler name was dropped and the AMC moniker was added making these 65's sought after in today's collector car market. The very distinct fastback design is all to itself being the most dramatic coke bottle shape of all fastback branded cars. The blue with the darker blue paint really exaggerates the fastback shape. The interior on the car is in great condition with the blue vinyl and stainless trim showing very well. Under the hood is the original 327 which is now sporting a demon carb with an electric fuel pump ensuring that spunky 327 is getting enough fuel while helping with cold starts after sitting for a while. The 3 speed automatic feels as it should with positive shifts going up and a distinct...

1965 AMC Rambler

View Description

The V8 under the hood runs smooth and has plenty of power to keep this full-size sedan moving down the road. A 3-speed automatic transmission handles the shifting for you, allowing you to enjoy the experience of rolling down the street in this classic steel beauty. The black vinyl interior is in great shape with no rips or tears and has plenty of support for longer drives.

The AMC Rambler Classic saw many changes over the years, and the '65 was the first year of the third generation of the nameplate. Many configurations of the vehicle would give buyers the option of a very economically priced inline-6, all the way up to a high-performance street Machine. This sedan falls somewhere...
