It was Chevy's compact car manufactured between 1960-1969 and it remains as the only rear mounted air cooled engine massed produced for the public. This one is in really nice shape and has been in the same family for many years, it also boasts the legendary Corvair flat-6 with a 4 speed stick shift making it very fun to drive. This second generation Corvair is beefed up with a Corvair Spyder turbocharged 6 cylinder engine which was optional on these rear engine beauties. These cars were given a bad name by 'Unsafe At Any Speed', although it was later proven that they were no more unsafe than any other car in extreme circumstances.
