This bad boy is sporting the coveted TorqueFlite 727 3 speed automatic transmission. A special model only available for the 1970 model year was the Challenger RT (Trans Am) racing homologation car. In order to race in the Sports Car Club of America's Trans American Sedan Championship Trans Am, Dodge built a street version of its race car which it called the Dodge Challenger RT (Trans Am). Street versions took the 340 and added a trio of two-barrel carburetors on top of an aluminum intake manifold, creating the 340 Six Pak. Transferring the power to the ground is a 8 3/4 inch Sure-Grip limited slip differential housing 3:55 gears. The red exterior and black vinyl interior are believed to be original.
