This Prowler Purple Barracuda has received more attention and love than some family members. There is roughly 1,000 hours just in the paint. When you look through the photos and peek at the underside, you-ll understand why. This kind of finish requires extensive attention to detail and great patience. This is a professional show car and a proven winner. This heart throb of a car actually arrived at our showroom with the tires wrapped in plastic wrap. The beautiful presentation (stage area) comes with the sale and certainly adds to the flair and bragging rights. Its also necessary if you wish to continue the show circuit. 1971 Plymouth Barracuda

View Description

This car was born with a 318 cid V8 and came painted yellow from the factory. This was a factory air conditioning car with power steering, power brakes, and power top, all from the factory. The car had a frame off, rotisserie restoration and became the triple black car you see today.

All of the paint on the car is black PPG urethane. During the restoration, the car received a new top, legendary seat skins, new carpeting, and a rally dash with autometer gauges. The car maintains its original door panels, rear panels, dash pad, console, kick panels, and seatbelts.

Options on the car included power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, power top, fog lights, map light, power trunk, hideaway wipers, and a luggage rack. Going into the restoration, the body was rust free. The car has its original rear quarters, original doors, original trunk, original frame rails, original front grille, and original tail lights.

The modern powerplant in this beast is a 6. 1L Hemi V8 that came from a 2007 Chrysler 300 SRT8. This is mated to a TKO 600 transmission from American Powertrain. It has a Strange Dana 60 rear end with 3:55 gears. The fully functional hood...

1971 Plymouth Barracuda

View Description

Originally the car was powered by a 318. Most would agree that the 318 is a great engine, to pull out and replace it. What better engine to use than an original 426 Hemi from 1968. In our minds, the best way to enjoy a Hemi is with a 4-speed. Here you go, 4-speed transmission(new clutch and pressure plate) with a 3. 91 gear set in an 8 3/4 rear end. This makes for a very fun muscle car. Equipment is minimal, but that seems appropriate for a Hemi powered muscle car. It is equipped with power steering and an AM radio is in place, but why would you bother? You have the music of the Hemi and a gas pedal for the volume control, that's all you need. The paint will stop you in your tracks. This is a very high quality paint job with hours upon hours of wet sanding and rubbing for a true show car shine. Adding to the look is a set of MOPAR Rally wheels...
