These lightweight hatchbacks have been a fan favorite for drag racing since they came out. Vega's are often talked about being one of the smallest rear wheel drive platforms that you can fit a decent sized v8 in even though they never came optioned with a V8 from the factory.
Under that cowl hood is an extremely healthy 355 chevy V8 under the hood that runs and sounds great. From the top to the bottom we have a demon carb, Edelbrock intake, aluminum heads, roller rockers, and all of this is breathing through Hooker super-comp headers. Backing the engine and putting the power down is a 350 turbo transmission and a 9' Pro Iron Cased rear end with 4. 57 gears that was built by Andy McCoy race cars.
