1975 Oldsmobile Cutlass

View Description

The Oldsmobile 442 is a muscle car produced by Oldsmobile between the 1968 and 1971 model years. The 442 was born out of competition between Pontiac and Oldsmobile divisions of GM. The high performance GTO version of the Pontiac LeMans intermediate had proved an unexpected success midway through the 1964 model year. Oldsmobile's hasty response was to beef up their own popular Cutlass. The package was dubbed 4-4-2 based on its combination of four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, and dual exhausts. It was available on any F85 or Cutlass model except the station wagon, although most were Cutlass hardtop coups. This 75 Cutlass 442 , sports an uncommon Silver Exterior with burgundy pin striping that nicely compliments the Burgundy interior. Under the hood is 350 cu in (5. 7 L) V8 mated to a 3 Speed Automatic...

1975 Oldsmobile Cutlass

View Description

This rare car (1 of 1193 W30s produces in 1975) is set up to cruise you down the road. The Hurst/Olds in 1975 was the first General Motors car to have 'Hurst/Hatch' removable T-Top style roof installed. The car is based on the formal-roofed Cutlass Supreme coupe rather than the semi-fastback Cutlass S used in 1973-74. The car was available in either black or white, with either a black or white half vinyl top offset by a wide aluminum band. Turn the key and the 455 cubic inch Oldsmobile V8 purrs to life. The odometer shows 42,425 on the clock however the engine has had a complete rebuild with Wiseco pistons, main/rod/cam bearings, spark plugs, Comp Cams Cam Shaft and Comp Cams Valve Springs only 1500 miles ago. We cannot forget about the transmission during the rebuild process so the TH-400 automatic transmission has had a complete refresh as well. The entire set of receipts from the engine and transmission rebuild are available upon request. The interior of this beast are also in just as good of shape....

1975 Oldsmobile Cutlass

View Description

For 1975, Oldsmobile added two smaller engines to attract economy-minded buyers in the aftermath of the 1973-'74 energy crisis. These were the Chevrolet-built 250 cubic inches (4. 1 L) inline six (previously offered from 1966-'71) and a new 260 V8 based on the Olds 350 Rocket V8, which continued as an option. Also continuing was the 455 Rocket V8, rated at 190 horsepower. This sharp Cutlass has its original numbers matching 455 engine and Turbo 400 automatic transmission with just over 98k miles. All engines had catalytic converters and required unleaded gasoline in the United States; Canadian buyers could opt to delete the converter.

The '75 grilles were somewhat more angular and separated into eight pieces on each side. The parking lights were now incorporated into the grille. At the rear, new two-piece taillights were divided vertically. This sharp Salon Cutlass is painted in sleek orange color with matching wheels and a white vinyl top. The tan leather interior is in great shape with minimal signs of wear. This car is the perfect daily driver that is sure to turn some heads with its sporty hood and grille design. The Cutlass line overtook the full-sized Delta 88 as the best-selling Oldsmobile...
