1977 AMC Pacer
View Description
The DL was the top trim level for the Pacer wagon and for the additional $379 included wood grain exterior and interior trim as well as additional chrome trim. This wagon also has the optional 258 Cubic Inch inline 6 cylinder that is more center mounted being moved back past the dash board. AMC really gave a lot to its customers in the way of value and engineering including a very precise shifting automatic transmission, wood grain interior treatment, a rear electric wiper and perforated seating surfaces.
The Pacer was launched for the 1975 model year and concluded its run in 1980 and is very uncommon to see on the road today. The term 'Futuristic' was used to describe this car and did have a very innovative design compared to a lot of vehicles on the road at the time. AMC had a less cookie-cutter approach to its styling making some very unique cars that have now become collector items. Although the landscape of the 1970s was dotted with Pacers and Gremlins they have mostly disappeared and are becoming increasing sought after.
This '77 is in very nice original condition and looks very close to the way it would have left...
