1979 Jeep CJ5
View Description
Jeep enthusiasts might recognize this, but these are so rare many do not even know to look for them.
Jeep came up with these special editions to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the CJ-5. Every single SA (silver anniversary) came with a Quicksilver Metallic paint job, Renegade hood lettering, chrome wheels, black soft top, black rocker trim, and a special SA spare tire cover. There was an optional 304 V8, which this surviving example has, and an optional 4 speed vs the standard 3 speed. There were 1,000 SA editions that Jeep intended to build, but many estimates but the actual number built closer to 800, with the surviving number in the 200s. Here is one of these surviving examples in fantastic condition. The paint is original, and the seats (incredibly rare) are also original. Mechanically this 1979 Jeep CJ5 is sound. The ownership history and maintenance records are well-documented. The vehicle is turn key, and has recently had a thorough service including new fluids, filters, and battery. ALL ENGINE MODIFICATIONS CAN BE REVERSED TO ORIGINAL, but we feel the work...
