The mid- sized B body Dodge Magnum was only built for 2 model years as an addition to Chrysler-s line up that allowed Richard Petty to continue racing with a Mopar. The 1974 Charger that was previously used was no longer eligible for competition and while not as aerodynamic as the -74 Charger body the shape of the Magnum showed promise and the Petty race team built test cars that reached 190 mph on the track. This particular 1979 Dodge Magnum is a very good condition 3 owner car that has had plenty of restoration performed to assure that it remains a turn-key cruiser for many years to come. This Magnum is originally from North Carolina and remained there until 2012, it only has just over 86,000 actual miles much in part to the second owner only adding around 13,000 of those miles in a 24 year time span. During the time that the second owner had the car many parts were replaced including the water pump, timing chain, U-joints, Chrysler electronic ignition was added, new brakes front and rear, and a new intake and carburetor and new exhaust.
