This was an Oldsmobile-built car with a real Hurst Dual/Gate shifter, and the only A-body General Motors car to come with Oldsmobile's L34 350-cu. in. V-8. Backing this 1979 Oldsmobile Hurst W30 is a smooth shifting TH350 3-speed automatic transmission that can handle the raw power being transported from the engine to the rear differential. Carful as this peppy W30 wants to get up and go! Gazing into the deep and dark paint you will notice a common theme, a Black and Gold exterior that looks as if its speeding out of your driveway at an idle but also looking calm and collective just waiting for another V8 to pull up to it at a red light. You would be hard pressed to find a much better example of 70-s and 80-s cool than the Hurst Olds. The Hurst/Olds was the result of cooperation between Oldsmobile and Hurst Performance to create a high-performance variation of the Cutlass 442. The 1979 was the first Hurst/Olds that did not offer a 455 engine. Instead, the 1979 model was the only G-body to feature a Chevrolet 350 CID V8 in 1979. The 1979 Hurst/Olds was also equipped with Hurt-s Dual Gate shifter, also known as the -His and Her-s- or -Street/Strip- shifter. On the driver-s side there was the standard automatic, or -Street-, shift pattern. This original survivor with only 71,500 miles is in great shape and drives very smoothly. The car has tons of tread left on the tires, superb interior, and even the gold pin striping is in like-new condition. A lot of work has been done to this car to keep it properly maintained over the years.

Now called simply the Hurst/Olds, appeared in 1979, based on the Cutlass Calais coupe. It still has the original L34, Oldsmobile's 5. 7 L (350 in) V8 engine. This car starts and drives great. The Hurst Dual Gate shifter that was built standard really sets this Olds apart from other Cutlass models on the market. The 1979 was the first H/O to be built entirely by Oldsmobile Division, it was also the first H/O that did not offer a 455 engine. It was, however, the only GM G-body to offer a 350 V8. It was also the first W30 to come with the Olds 350 and not the Olds 455. The rarity of this car will surly make it a great add to any collection.
