1980 Chevrolet El Camino

View Description

The El Camino has always a cult like following since its inception in the late 50-s. A car a truck a car with a truck bed any way you slice it one thing is for certain these cars are becoming more popular by the minute. This custom built blue beast is a great example of what these cars can be done with a little time and a lot of money. This car was built to go fast, in comfort, and turn heads while doing it. The blue paint on the car is sure to win trophies with its slicker than glass finish. The blue is so it deep looks like you could dive right into it. Under the hood is where the party really gets started with this small block Chevy coming alive every time you hit the gas. The 4-barrel Holley feeds it the right amount gas and if you need that extra punch hit it with the laughing gas and it is sure to put you back in your seat. The front runner serpentine setup not only cleans up the engine but lets that small block run more efficiently. The built 700r4 transmission really gives this ELCO that added...

1980 Chevrolet El Camino

View Description

Few cars in history are as identifiable as the El Camino. Over the 25 model years and 5 generations, Chevy's half truck, half car has proven to be a classic from its early days when it debuted in 1959. The El Camino was created as direct competition with Ford's Ranchero. The first El Camino was built on the Chevrolet X-frame and shared the same engine options and styling as the other big Chevy cars at the time like the Impala and Biscayne. This 5th generation mid-sized El Camino was based off the Chevrolet Malibu built from 1978-1981. This 1980 Chevrolet El Camino is painted in two-tone 2003 Corvette '50th Anniversary Red' and Galaxy Silver. Special exterior features include Lauren Engineering Stage II ground effects, factory steel rally wheels w/ beauty rings, smooth roll pan rear bumper kit w/recessed taillights, and a Gaylord locking fiberglass hard bed cover. The gray vinyl interior has been upgraded with Procar Rally 1000XL bucket seats, a Grant four-spoke steering wheel, matching center console with cup holders, B@M floor shifter,...

1980 Chevrolet El Camino

View Description

The El Camino was Chevrolet's answer to Ford's wildly popular Ranchero. Brought out in 1959 and based off the Impala platform the first El Caminos were much bigger, and many say nicer but did not sell as well as the Ranchero and production ended just one year later. Just 4 years later though it would return, and it seems as if Chevy got their stuff together finally with production going clear into 1987. This 1980 is a great example of what a lot of people are doing with these. First, they find one that the body is in decent condition and drop a small block in it. This El Camino fits that bill to a t. Gone is the original 305 and in its place is the classic go to piece, a small block 350. This one has only 5k miles on it since it was rebuilt, which is just getting broke in. Backing that crate motor is a TH350 transmission which complements the small block nicely. The exterior was painted yellow with gray stripes. The custom chrome trim all around really sets the color off and is a very subtle custom touch. The new Cragar rims are covered in radial...
