This one has a Clean Car Fax, No Accidents, No Damage. The 500SL was only ever offered in Europe starting in 1980. It is also the most powerful version of the R107 chassis, sporting 237 bhp. Surprisingly the 500SL had more power than the later 560SL, which was a larger displacement engine but plagued by emissions equipment required by United States federal law. The engine displaces 303. 9 cubic inches and is mated to a 4-speed automatic. This combination put 228 horsepower and would go 0-60 mph in 7 seconds! This in 1984 was very impressive. The Gold (maybe more of a yellow) exterior paint is original and in very good shape. The rear spoiler on the trunk does show some cracking, but this is most likely due to the age of the car.
