This is it folks. 1985 marked the end of the 1979-1985 Eldorados, which were arguably some of the nicest looking ones ever made. They replaced the enormous, heavy 70-78 model as a lighter, more fuel-efficient Cadillac- while retaining the classic lines and going out of the way to preserve the comfort and interior space of the earlier cars. This Cadillac is 1 of only 2300 factory 'RPO YP8' convertible cars- not to be confused with a lesser quality, not-factory authorized versions. ASC Mclaren handled the conversion for Cadillac, before sending them out to fill the dealer orders. The chassis was extensively reinforced, and other refinements were made during the conversion to assure a very high quality outcome. The outside looks quite good. Paint quality is smooth with a deep shine, and the authentic wire wheels really give this Cadillac the added personality so many like. The convertible top works well, and overall, the...
