1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

View Description

The Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer may be the most popular and sought after 4WD/SUV of all time. The Wagoneer was off-roading and transporting families decades before today's self driving automated SUVs appeared and 1991 was the last year before Jeep would bring the nameplate back. For those in the know, this GW was given new life by Wagonmaster of Texas in 2018. Our add doesn't contain the room to list everything that was rebuilt or replaced. Starting with the motor and engine, both were rebuilt. The air conditioning system was rebuilt. The brakes, tires, power steering, cooling, suspension, exhaust, interior, electrical system. it's...

1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

View Description

The Wagoneer has ties all the way back to Kaiser Jeep in the 60s. Over the years the styling and ownership would change hands a few times. The Grand Wagoneer name appeared under AMC in 1984 when AMC was updating their Jeep line. It would become the gold standard of the SUV market, thus sealing its destiny to become a fan favorite even in modern times. Enjoying a long life, one of the longest produced vehicles on the same platform for decades it could not survive the oil price shock in 1990. Here we have a 1991 model, the last year of the legend. Up on approach you immediately take note of the Hunter Green exterior. The tan or Biscuit interior is also in good shape and goes well with the Hunter Green. Really cool to see the old phone included as it had back then. The paint is believed to have a lot of originality to it and still shows great. Speaking of the paint, 1991 as the final year only saw 1,560 models built and of those it is believed less than 150 of them came with the rare Hunter Green Paint. The wood paneling also looks great and...

1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

View Description

The Wagoneer was in production under a three companies from the early 1960s to 1991. Jeep sold these from 1984 to 1991 as the Grand Wagoneer which is considered by some to be the first luxury SUV. The vehicle was initially referred to as a Wagon, hence the name, and was later referred to as a Sport Utility Vehicle. This particular Jeep comes from the final year of production and sports a rare color: Hunter Green. This green color with the iconic wood grain side trim makes for a very handsome Machine. This particular example has a clean history and has had only two owners since new. The vehicle was purchased by its current owner in 1993 out of Oklahoma. From there it spent a lot of its life in Arizona before moving to Illinois in 2002. This history, in addition to being garages, contributes to the car being nice and rust free. The car has a 360 under the hood which is a remanufactured engine installed at roughly 121,000 miles. The odometer now shows just over 203,000 miles....
