The E31 Series 840CI debuted in Frankfurt Auto Show in 1989. It was one of the first BMW's to utilize the CAD design and wind tunnel testing to achieve a Drag Coefficient of. 29. Produced from 1990-1999 the E31 was an entirely new model with a higher price and performance then the 6 series. It was one of the first to be fitted with drive by wire throttle as well as a multi-link rear axle. The body was of a Unibody design with a pillarless B pillar design for a much clean appearance.
This E31 is powered by a the M62B44 5 speed auto transmission producing 282hp with 310 ft lbs torque with only 3075 840CI being produced during its production run.
The present example has new tires, new batteries, new brakes and is clean condition overall.
