When conversations arise over who the best tuner for the C4 generation of Corvette was, there are a few names that always pop up and Lingenfelter is usually on the top of the list. John Lingenfelter is a staple name in the Chevrolet tuning world, known for exotic supercharger and turbo setups to creative drive train options and this particular example is no exception to the rule. Take an already stout and top of the line ZR-1, add a 382CID LT5 V8 and for kicks and giggles throw 2 large turbo-s and gigantic intercooler giving this ZR-1 850HP. This is a one of 4 production and one of the last vehicles to have direct contact with John Lingenfelter before he passed away. With all of these horsepower goodies under the hood this beast was able to achieve a standing mile speed of 190mph which is still impressive almost 20 years later. Exterior wise this ZR-1 was kept fairly stock unlike examples from Callaway or Greenwood who were known for flashy aerodynamic packages, the only giveaway that everything is not as it seems is the air intake for the turbos in the center of the front bumper.
