In 1969 Gm introduced an appearance and performance package for the Firebird called the Trans Am. During the first run of the Trans Am package only 689 hard tops and 8 convertibles were produced. In 1999 to celebrate the 30th year of the Trans Am package, Pontiac produced the 30th Anniversary Trans Am. This special run of Firebird came with white exterior with blue graphics pack, white leather interior, and blue tinted wheels that hearken back to the original Trans Am design. Just as rare as the original Trans Am, 1600 30th anniversary editions were produced.
