Introduced in 1998 at the Geneva Motor Show, the E39 generation of the M5 was the first to use a V8 engine. It is also the first M5 to use aluminum front suspension components and a multi-link rear suspension. This M5 is powered by a 4. 9-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The interior features black leather upholstery on the seats as well as a matching dashboard, door panels, carpets and floor mats.
