This car is built for drag racing yet is surprisingly able to be driven on the streets. Starting life as a 6 cylinder LS model, this Camaro was made into the racing monster it is by dropping in an LS3 aluminum block engine at a hefty 416 cubic inches with all forged internals, American Racing stainless steel headers with 3 inch collectors featuring electronic cutouts. This engine setup produces over 700 horsepower at 9. 5 to 1 compression ratio on 91 octane gas and is backed by an ATI TH400 transmission linked by a Coan Engineering torque converter which is linked to a Strange rear axle assembly featuring a 4:11 gear ratio. These modifications paired with an 8. 5 second certified roll cage makes for an absolute monster that is capable of 9 second range 1/4 mile times. This one started life as a nice stock 2010 2SS coupe. With much time, care, and expense, it has been transformed into an absolute fire breather. Sitting on top of the 6. 2 Liter V8 is a KenneBell 2. 8 Mammoth Liquid cooled SuperCharger. This massive SuperCharger forces the air in and it exits through Kook stainless 2 7/8' long tube headers and cats. 3' stainless exhausts takes it from the cats back. Needless to say, this thing absolutely screams. If a supercharged V8 wasn't enough, this one also has a nitrous setup good for a 125 hp shot. Starting with a stock Camaro SS, the New Jersey-based outfit built just 500 of these monsters. Our 1226 Original Mile Example is just one of 250 6-speed manually equipped ZL575s. The other 250 are automatics dubbed ZL550. If you haven't guessed it already, those numbers mean horsepower. The output from our ZL575's supercharged 6. 2-liter aluminum block V8 jumps from the stock SS 426 horsepower to 575; torque from 420 pound-feet to an asphalt grinding 550 at 3650 RPM.
