1962 Chevrolet Corvette

View Description

This Corvette was given a body off restoration in 1995 and has approximately 1565 miles since the restoration and is owner stated mileage. This car has been owned by the same couple since 1965. The final year of the first-generation Corvette, this car is adorned with options that would be found on the last of a decade-long body style, including: a wraparound windshield, solid rear axle, and convertible-only body style. The exposed headlamps and trunk lid did not re-appear for many decades. This '62 Corvette for sale comes from iconic pedigree, and is ready to show and go! Moving this beauty down the road is a classic 327 CID small-block Chevy V8 engine. Rated at 340 horsepower, this Corvette was built for even the most eager thrill seekers. The power plant is coupled with an optional four-speed manual transmission, which offers you the maximum adrenaline rush. Simply put, there is nothing quite like the feeling of motoring along the highways and byways of America in a true American legend. Nestled into a cockpit-inspired cabin with aviation-style instrumentation and wrap around bucket seats, one can truly feel why this car has become the living legend it is. The black vinyl sport buckets...

1962 Chevrolet Corvette

View Description

The C1 Corvette is where it all started. Before the Stingray, way before the ZR1. eight generations back from the today's Corvette and you have the humble beginnings of what would become America's sports car. A stylish, classy, quick little fiberglass 2-seater. Spanning from 1953 to 1962, the first-generation Corvette underwent numerous upgrades and cosmetic changes. When you think of a C1, the vision of this car comes to mind. The dual headlights and Stingray style tail make for an elegant appearance that rivals European exotics of its time and what most think of when referencing a classic Corvette. This particular example is finished in Ermine White with a Red interior making this a real sharp looker. 1962 Chevrolet Corvette

View Description

It would have cost you, but in 1962 you could add options like fuel injection and a 327 cubic inch engine to your Corvette to turn it into a serious performance Machine. In that day, few cars that weren't big sedans put out anything like this Corvette's 360 horsepower. The 1962 Corvette looked cleaner with the subtraction of some chrome and the deletion of the two-tone paint option. The Chevrolet 283 cu in (4. 64 L) Small-Block was enlarged to 327 cu in (5. 36 L). In standard form, it produced 250bhp. For an extra 12% over list price, the fuel-injected version produced 360bhp, making it the fastest of the C1 generation. 62 was also the last year for the wrap around windshield, solid rear axle, and convertible-only body style. The trunk lid and exposed headlamps did not reappear for many decade. The most desired option was the 327 V8 -fuelie- rated at 360hp and you were king of the street with this king of Corvettes. NCRS has confirmed the production date and dealer delivery of this VIN. This historic car had a full frame off...

1962 Chevrolet Corvette

View Description

The vintage style exhaust has a classic burble with a tone that screams with just as much exotic sound, as it does muscle. Backing the peppy small block is a 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst competition shifter that just begs to be driven through the gears. Nothing says bowtie muscle like a small block Chevy engine and a stick transmission! With all new brakes, starter and tuned with brand new plugs this Corvette is ready to roll to your local car show. The exterior is an epic shade of Honduras Maroon. When looking at this Corvette, you can tell that it was built with aerodynamics and performance in mind. The interior appears as if though it was stolen from a pilot's cockpit, with sporty black vinyl seats and a dash cluster that flows with plenty of fun gauges to look at. When sitting in this 1962 Vette for sale, you truly feel like you're getting ready for take-off. Options...
