Plymouth had a system, the 'Rapid Transit System' and here is an opportunity to obtain a really clean B-Body Mopar with stunning curb appeal! Plymouth obtained permission from Warner Bros. -Seven Arts to use the Road Runner name and likeness from their Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner cartoons (as well as a 'beep, beep' horn). The Plymouth Road Runner was based on the Chrysler B platform (the same as the Belvedere and Satellite), as a back-to-basics mid-size performance car. This Mopar is finished in Honey Bronze with a matte-black fiberglass liftoff hood (including 'show rods' for show) and a black vinyl top. The interior houses a matching Honey Bronze vinyl with a bench seat and OEM woodgrain steering wheel. The dash retains an OEM dial AM radio, but does have a few vital modern Auto Meter gauges to keep things in check. Cold modern air conditioning also keeps you cool on a hot summer day!
