1936 Ford 5 Window

View Description

The Model 48 was an update on Ford's V8-powered Model 40-A, the company's main product. Introduced in 1935, the Model 48 was given a cosmetic refresh annually, before being thoroughly redesigned for 1941. The 1935 Ford's combination of price, practicality, and looks vaulted the company ahead of rival Chevrolet for the sales crown that year, with 820,000 sold. The Ford Model 48 has a front-mounted engine, and rear-wheel drive. It features a traditional body-on-frame design, and was offered with ten different body styles. Chevrolet regained the sales lead at the end of 1936, but the Ford still sold well. The look was updated with an inverted pentagonal grille with all-vertical bars beneath a prominent hood and three horizontal chrome side strips (on DeLuxe models). The V8 DeLuxe was called Model 68. A concealed horn, long a prominent part of the Ford's design, also brought the car into modern times. The new trucks continued with the old grille. Other major changes for 1936 were the use of pressed steel 'artillery' solid wheels instead of wire wheels. This particular 1936 has been cosmetically and mechanically refreshed but remains largely original with documentation going back to original registration...

1938 Ford 5 Window

View Description

Still considered by many the best looking front end on any Ford they are a natural fit for a Street rod Build. This beauty has kept its natural lines and [excluding the rear fenders] - is real Henry Ford Steel. One thing is certain the all-metal body has slick two-tone paint, accented with some tasteful hand-done pinstripes. The interior of the car was recently done in a 2-tone Emu leather, accenting the silver and blue exterior nicely. The bucket seats are comfortable while giving it that custom look. Under the hood is the go-to price for any Street rodder, the small block crate 350, and has plenty of power, durability and parts can be found pretty much anywhere. The TH350 transmission shifts out nicely with firm yet positive upshifts. The 10-bolt rear end has a set of highway gears that allow for a decent RPM when going down the road. There are many additional upgrades and options that are retained in the file...

Built for show and go, this runner of a '35 Ford has just about everything you could ever want in a hot rod. Showing 88 miles on the clock, it's ready for the show circuit or any late night cruise! Powering the hot rod is a pleasantly peppy 350 cubic inch small block Chevy V8 engine. Dressed with more goodies than you can shake a stick at, you can tell that this Ford means business. Backing the small block is a Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission. Nothing says classic hot rod for sale like a small block engine and a Powerglide transmission! The Powerglide churns the power down to the pavement via a 3. 23 geared Chevy 10-bolt rear end. Surrounded by aluminum/alloy wheels wrapped in radial tires, you're sure to have that modern drive and feel you desire. With all of this power and GO, you're going to need some STOP too! No need to fear, because this 1935 Ford Coupe for sale is loaded with front disc brakes. Not only can this hot rod Ford for sale stop and go, but it can maneuver too, thanks to a power steering set-up and suspension that's worth mentioning. With a drivetrain this...
