This is not your grandpa's Cadillac! This baby has been customized from stem to stern. To start, it now sits on a completely custom Art Morrison tube frame which rides on coilover shocks in all four corners. In addition, this Caddy has power-assisted Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners. Of course, the drive train has been completely modernized as well. Under the hood is a modern Cadillac NorthStar Quad Cam V8. Behind the NorthStar is an automatic, shifted by a Lokar shifter, sending all of that power to a Ford 9' rear end with Posi-trac. The body has beautiful lines, which are nicely accentuated by the bright yellow paint. Of course it looks good on top, but this one even looks clean underneath with the yellow really showing off the custom tubular chassis. The NorthStar breathes through a full stainless steel dual exhaust which really sings. The way this car is set up, it can just as easily be taken on a weekend getaway, as it can be to a car show. These tail lights have been reworked with '53 Buick lenses. There are numerous body modifications done to this car. The trunk lid has been smoothed & the tag mount frenched. The cowl vent has been smoothed. The gas filler door has been relocated with a Fagan door/cap. The bumpers and stanchions have been re-chromed. The running boards are steel replacements. The exterior displays beautifully. The windshield is 'butted' in true street rod fashion. The wheels are 18-inches, by Billet Specialties. The stance and presence on this 1939 LaSalle are like none-other. This is a one-of-a-kind street rod.

The LaSalle was an American brand of luxury automobiles marketed by Cadillac from 1927 through 1940. It was intended to be something between a basic Chevy and a top end Cadillac. Towards the end of the run of 1940 the LaSalle was more like a Cadillac than ever. The convertible much like this one was their crowning jewel and people loved it. The styling was classic prewar with its fat fenders. The blue on this car really sits apart with the chrome being in good condition for being restored back in 1983. The owner really didn't drive it much after that only about 600 miles. The car was taken all the down and built back up from bare. The original 3446 engine is still intact and runs extremely smooth. The LaSalle was a more affordable luxury automobile designed to be a little be cheaper than the Cadillacs but were still manufactured and markets through GM. There were only 5,750 35 Cadillac LaSalle 4- Door Touring Sedans produced for that year but did not change the quality of this beautiful Machine.

This monstrous Machine is power by a strong running 248 CID Flathead I8 paired to a 3-speed manual transmission. This beauty was restored roughly 15 years ago and has been very well maintained in the years since. The restoration was professionally done and makes the car show very well.

This Cadillac has gone through a few minor adjustments during its 80 years. The car received a full frame off restoration starting in 1978 and finishing in 1980. During that time it got a new engine a rocket 350 Oldsmobile engine connected to a GM 350 TH transmission. It has a Delco Remy distributor. The engine has only about 30,000 miles on it since the restoration, and the rear end is from a 1972 Chevrolet Nova. Inside you are greeted to a clean grey cloth interior. The car still sports its original gauges showing the engine Temperature, Oil Pressure, Gas Tank, Battery, and speedometer. The car also sports tiny aftermarket gauges made by Stewart Warner that sit under the left side of the dash that help show the Water Temperature, Oil Temperature, and Battery power.
