This 67 Camaro is an original RS package car. A project started in 2003, this Camaro underwent a full restoration. The entire front clip and sub-frame, all the suspension, and the rear end were removed. Then, the sub-frame, radiator support, inner fender wells, and the upper and lower control arms were sand blasted and powder coated satin black. The body was taken down to bare metal. The only metal that needed to be replaced was the lower quarter panels and the panel between the rear windshield and trunk lid. The car was then professionally primed and painted with GM Fire Red Metallic with clear coat. The paint was done properly with the doors, front clip, and engine removed, allowing the firewall to be painted to match the car. The Rally Sport stripe package was painted and clear coated on as well, not just some vinyl stripes added later. The windshield and rear window received new glass, and all of the windows have new seals.
