This Corvette is painted in a classic Corvette color White over Red leather, just the like the first Corvette. That's right, in 1953 when the Corvette was first available, you could only order one in Polo White with Red interior. 1981 was the last year for the 3rd generation Corvette that you could order a manual transmission. 1981 was also the only year that Corvettes were built at both the St Louis plant and the new Bowling Green plant. Here we have one of the last Corvettes produced in St Louis and with the classic Corvette colors and a 4-speed to boot! Finishing off that classic look is a set of tinted glass t-tops and polished aluminum wheels. 1981 certainly wasn't known for high horsepower with only 190 ponies. That has been addressed with this Corvette. Adding some extra punch comes from a mild camshaft, headers, an aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock competition carburetor and full exhaust.
