1954 Chevrolet 3100

View Description

Originally owned by the Arizona Department of agriculture and horticulture, this 1954 Chevrolet 3100 is a true piece of history! After many years of use in the field though it needed some TLC to bring it back into shape. So the current owner within the last year had the straight six engine pulled and was rebuilt by an aerospace Machinist. While all of this was being done the body was getting worked on to straighten it out and get it prepped for the new brown paint job it was about to receive. The interior was pulled and reupholstered. The very rare split seat that was special ordered was in great shape and was able to be reused keeping this truck very authentic. With the engine build complete and the body, paint and upholstery finished, the engine was paired up again with the vehicle, new tires were installed, and the vehicle was once again road worthy! This truck runs and drives great...

1951 Chevrolet 3100

View Description

Chevrolet entered the truck market competitively in 1918 with the Series 490. The 490 was sold as a chassis only. Leaving the customer to create a truck cab and rear bed. Chevrolet also introduced a one -ton truck ironically called the Chevrolet Model T. It was considered the first purpose- built truck by an automobile manufacturer. It took until 1931 before Chevrolet started producing factory built complete trucks. Customer now could buy a truck compete with a cab and bed of their choice straight from the factory. This was the start of truck revolution which still exists today. Our 1951 Chevrolet 3100 Stake Bed is a great example of a long tradition American work horse. 1950- 1951 brought significant improvements such as telescopic shock absorbers, side vent windows and chrome window /door handles. Under the hood is a rebuilt 235 cubic inch inline 6 engine attached to a manual three-speed column shift transmission. The exterior is painted in handsome red paint accented with black...

1951 Chevrolet 3100

View Description

Ever heard of Beatersville or the Rat Rod movement? A Rat Rod is a style of hot rod or custom car that, in most cases, imitates (or exaggerates) the early hot rods of the 1940s, 1950s, and early-1960s. The style is not to be confused with the somewhat closely related 'traditional' hot rod, which is an accurate re-creation or period-correct restoration of a hot rod from the same era. Most rat rods appear 'unfinished', regardless of their status. Beatersville is a special event held for these vehicles in the Louisville KY area. This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 5 Window Pickup is a great example of this movement. It has that rough exterior look that gives it that -work in progress- look. The faded black paint has just the right look with a few scratches here and there. The cab and truck bed are in very good shape. This truck does have new bumpers, grill, front and rear parking lights/turn signals. The bed has red cedar boards with metal strips. The diamond plate work box, in the bed, gives this truck the look of a vehicle that was used for daily duties, no trailer queen wanna be here! The cab and bed now...
