This stunning one owner accident free truck was purchased new on August 13th, 1968 from Capitol Chevrolet here in Denver, Colorado. Before the owner took delivery, he had the dealer cover the factory carpet in clear plastic. That plastic has been there ever since preserving the original carpet. The owner dropped a camper in the bed, loaded up the family and hit the road looking for adventure.
In 1970 dual saddle tanks were installed to promote longer distances between fill ups when driving cross country with the family.
In 1985 dual exhaust was installed to help that big 396cid engine breathe and improve the sound.

The 55 Chevy Bel-Air is arguably one of the best-looking cars ever built. There clean lines and finless design make them great candidates for full on custom builds. Art Morrison started out building frames for tubbed out drag cars in the 70-s and 80-s but the company really took off when he began building his line of pro-touring chassis-. This 55 is sitting on one of his custom-built frames which not only looks good but increases the handling of the car dramatically. Finished off in the same Erica red paint as the body making the transition from floor pan to frame almost seamless. With touches of chrome here and there to break it up you can tell this was a well thought out build. The stance of the car was also dramatically changed due to the chassis as well with it sitting much lower than a stock 55. The Mako Shark II concept car brought the idea for the C3 Corvette, which generation was in production from 1968 until 1982. This generation of Corvette was the first to feature T-top removable roof panels. 1977 was the last year the tunneled roof treatment with vertical back window was used, also the first time leather seats were available at no extra cost. Chevrolet remodeled the Corvette in 1977 with a new -Corvette flag- emblems on the front end and fender as well as a new interior console and gauges.
