Here's a mighty fine example of one of America's all-time favorite trucks. It probably won't come as a great surprise to you that there a dozens of these vintage Chevy trucks still earning their keep, but this is a particularly nice one. And for some reason, the first year '67s aren't that common. The silver blue paint inside and out, and the updated suspension, steering, and braking makes this classic 3/4 ton pickup attractive, hard working and easy to keep running. Under the hood is a clean and hefty 383 Stroker that gives the heavy frame of the C20 plenty of moving power.

Powering this sharp CK-20 is a new create 383 Stroker engine that was installed in October of 2016 and mated to a TH400 automatic transmission that was rebuilt during the install of the new engine. The drivetrain has had about 4,500 miles since being installed/rebuilt. Before the drivetrain was installed, the truck was custom pained in the summer of 2016 a sharp green and white paint theme. This two-toned paint flows nicely into the newly installed interior (in 2017). Custom fiberglass dash, new carpeting, custom white gauges, new steering wheel, leather seats, Chevrolet door plates, and even the headliner have all been redone in this sharp truck. The truck does have functioning dual gas tanks, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, Cd player, power brakes and steering, seat belts, and even a tow package. The Longhorn was produced from March 11th of '68 until the end of that generation, in '72. It was only available in 3/4 ton and 1-ton versions. The main thing that makes it a Longhorn, is the frame, and the front of the bed is extended by six inches, making the wheelbase 133 inches, up from 127, and the bed now measures 8 1/2 feet long.

you'll see a body line where they added to the existing Longbed. All Longhorn trucks have a wooden floor in the bed, and seven, or eight leaf, leaf springs in the back, as opposed to the weaker coils found on most trucks in this time frame. The best way to tell if you're dealing with a Longhorn is by the model number. For the 3/4 ton, the V-8 trucks should be CE21034. This extra-long truck was aimed at the booming camper industry and was capable of hauling the largest camper on the market at the time. Although, with the extra cargo room, you can understand why so many were put to work. The main thing that I like about it, is the looks and comments I get all the time and in traffic.

The '67-'72...

Building on the successful first series of C/K pickup, Chevrolet launched a revised version in 1967. Coil springs remained at all four corners beneath the restyled 1967 Chevy C10, but a crisp, clean pickup appeared on the outside, and in some opinions the new Chevy looked even more modern than its half-ton Ford rival, which was also updated that year. This example is shown in a yellow and white paint job complemented by a clean brown interior and wood accents. Powering this head-turning truck is a newly installed 454CID V-8 with an Edelbrock carburetor and an MSD StreetFire ignition, mated to a stout TH400 3-Speed automatic transmission.
