1967 was a turning point for Chevrolet trucks. The second generation of the C/K truck line brought about the 'action line' which made their trucks much more comfortable and able to be driven as everyday transportation rather than simple workhorses. Independent front suspension with coil springs greatly increased comfort over the previous generation as did optional coils in the rear. Creature comforts like A/C, power steering and brakes, and automatic transmissions made these trucks much more functional for daily use and the revised styling gave a modern look.
