1963 was the beginning of what most consider the golden era of America's supercar. The totally redesigned 1963 Corvette was new from the ground up. It even had a catchy new name, Stingray, named after the groundbreaking concept car that Zora Duntov had introduced just a year earlier the --63 Corvette would take many of its styling cues from.
