1966 Chevrolet Corvette
View Description
Between the modern power-train and the classic styling, this car is definitely a show stopper.
Under the 'Stinger' hood of this beast is a Chevrolet LS3 that would have been found in a more modern C5 Vette. Upon starting the engine, everyone around can hear the deep, throaty sounds of the side pipes. This swap not only provides much more power and drive-ability to the car, but it also makes servicing much easier considering that all of the parts needed for the engine are still mass produced by companies for GM. As for the engine itself, it runs very strong and brings as much power to the car as a big block would have back in the day (hence the big block hood). Sending that modern power to the rear end is a five speed manual transmission that shifts firmly through the gears with an extremely short throw shifter. This car having a modern power-train, of course it has disc brakes all around that provide a good initial bite along with firm stopping power thanks to a Willwood master cylinder.
Moving outward, the exterior of the car is finished in a traditional light blue metallic that looks very nice and correct...
