The K5 was the smallest full size SUV version from the C/K line of trucks. Though very popular and running an amazing 22 years you really don't see many of them running around today. Used as mainly off-road vehicles, sort of a bigger jeep if you will, they were used up and thrown away basically making them a hard find today. This 1978 is a good example of what can be done when you have a great platform to begin with. This one owner was a treasured piece that was taken great care of not only when being used as a daily but after being completely rebuilt and brought back to better than ever. The first thing he did was go for more power, so after pulling the motor a new cam was installed giving it much better low end torque and ofcourse a great sound. The next thing to be switched out was the intake, adding an Edelbrock performer definitely woke that small block up.
