1927 Chevrolet Speedster
View Description
Car racing has been around since the first two cars were built. It seems that going faster is simply human nature. This 27 Speedster is a great example of what people were doing to satisfy their need for speed in the late 20's and early 30's. Primarily used for dirt track racing the speedsters were basically a completely stripped down, and I mean stripped down, coupe. Much like today everything that did not help the car go fast was gutted from the car. Unlike today however safety was not something they took into consideration. This 27 is as real as it gets with it being a true and actual 1927 Chevy that was brought back to life in PA by a family for their Grandfather. He unfortunately passed away which is how the current owner acquired it. The 4 cylinder engine has been built to those days spec being punched out to amazing 171 CID it is putting out quite a bit more power than a stock 27. The split manifold is a unique and cool feature that was the entire rave in those days. The red paint is in great condition and shows extremely well with the red steel wheels...
