This car is one of the rarest classics on the market today as the total sales included only 522 coupes and 125 convertibles! Finding one in this condition with its numbers matching drive train is near impossible. The 1959 model year saw the Hemi engines replaced by Chrysler's new Golden Lion wedge-head V8 at 413 cu in displacement (which Chrysler called 'lion-hearted'). Power output was claimed to be 380 hp! This numbers matching engine is mated to the original 3-speed automatic transmission that is actually push button operated and puts the power to the ground through a posi traction rear end! The odometer is reading 80,043 and this is believed to be the miles on the chassis, the car did undergo a frame off restoration and the drivetrain has been rebuilt to keep it running strong. During the rebuilt, a Vintage A/C system, new front suspension, new paint, new interior was all redone. The current owner bought the car about 10 years ago and the car was already restored so we estimate the restoration to be 12-15 years old. This car runs and drives strong!
