1965 Dodge D100

The D Series is a line of pickup trucks that was sold by Dodge from 1961 to 1980. After 1980, the trucks were renamed the Dodge Ram and the same basic design was retained until the 1994 introduction of a completely redesigned Ram. This 1965 D100 has gone from originally being a farm truck to a show stopping custom street Machine. When this project started, this D100 had been pretty much used up, with over 100000 miles on the odometer, the 318 poly engine and 4-speed transmission were used up, and the truck was in a wonderful color of rattle can red. Of course this was all about to change! A 1958 Imperial was sourced as a donor for the drive train. A 392 Hemi with a TorqueFlite transmission was just the ticket to wake this old truck up. The 392 Hemi was kept fairly mild after the rebuild. The engine has been topped with a Weiand intake and dual Carter AFB carburetors. Taking care of the exhaust is a set of 2. 5 inch Hedman headers. Insuring the engine fires properly is Mallory distributor, MP box, a rev limiter, and a MSD 6AL ignition box. The TorqueFlite transmission was sent...
