According to the production logs there were only 18 396 L78/375HP Chevelle engines with the L89 RPO code built with aluminum heads and only 8 configured with a TH400 automatic transmission (M-40).

This Chevelle is alleged to be one of the 8 but no official authentication has been commissioned by the owner.

This Chevelle has had a concourse level restoration that was completed on November 25, 2020. The process was a complete frame off, nut and bolt restoration of the chassis, drivetrain, body, and interior. All the major and minor components were restored as best as possible using only original NOS or OEM parts appropriately dated.
