1994 marked the first major redesign for the Mustang in 15 years! The newer design, code named -SN-95- by Ford was still based on the Fox platform. It features dramatically new styling by Patrick Schiavone that incorporated some stylistic throwbacks to earlier Ford Mustangs. The car remained a rear-wheel drive but the redesign helped greatly revive the popularity of the brand. This year also brought the return of the very successful Cobra model, equipped with the 5. 0 Liter engine now rated at 240 horsepower. The Mustang Cobra Convertible was selected as the official Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500, making it the third time that the Mustang had enjoyed such a great honor. 1,000 replicas of the Rio Red with Saddle Leather interior cars were built and sold through select dealers. This is not your everyday Mustang GT! Pushing out over 400 Horsepower, this 1998 Mustang may just be the perfect sleeper. Sitting under the hood is a Procharged 4. 6L V8 from a 2001 Cobra that was built up using forged Manly pistons and Probe connecting rods. There have only been 12,000 miles put on since the engine was professionally rebuilt and runs excellent. It was tidied up by powder coating the timing cover and valve covers to really stand out from the stock one. All of that power is run through the T-5 manual transmission with a heavy duty clutch, through the aluminum driveshaft with a loop, and back to the rear end with 3. 73 gears and a differential girdle. This classic Ford has had a substantial amount of work done to it to get it road worthy and make it the fun cruiser that it is today. Just after this car was purchased by the current owner it was driven to the shop where the braking system was gone through, radiator was replaced, bearings repacked, and exhaust changed back to a more stock style. Once running and driving the way it should it was time to make it even more reliable than stock which was done by adding an electronic ignition and replacing the coil, adding an electronic fuel pump, and changing the original 2-barrell carburetor with a 4-barrell Holley. After this a simple tune-up and oil change was completed and this Galaxie was back on the road cruising! The paint and body look nice, but not so nice that you will be afraid to drive it. This is a car that you can take down to the local drive-in or car show and not be afraid to leave its side. Ford made damn sure not to forget about the volume V-6 model, which now sports a high-tech 305-hp, 3. 7-liter V-6 as standard equipment. Yes, 305 ponies in a base Mustang, or just 10 fewer than the 2010 GT. For perspective, previous V-6 Mustangs were forever plagued by a SOHC 4. 0-liter V-6 with 210 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque. The seventh generation of the Ford Thunderbird is a personal luxury car that was built by Ford from the 1977 to the 1979 model years. In a key marketing shift for the model range, Ford repackaged the Thunderbird from a full-size car to a large intermediate car. Rather than being the Ford counterpart of the Continental Mark V, the Thunderbird would share design commonality with the Mercury Cougar (doing so through the 1997 model year).
