Dodge has always had a good standing reputation of making trucks of legendary status and this truck shows as a shining example of how they got that done. The B series trucks came in the year 1948 to replace the war era trucks in an effort to expand their market on multiple model trucks to serve different purposes from commercial to civilian. This truck came as a half-ton variant which was equipped with an inline-6 flathead engine which was bolted to a 3-speed floor shifted manual transmission. This truck has been customized in and out starting with a two-tone green on green paint job which draws people's attention right out of the gates. The exterior is capped off by adding a wood paneled bed which speaks to a nostalgic look for the 1940s truck look as well as adding a set of chrome mag wheels wrapped in modern radial tires. This 3-owner vintage Dodge truck is in great condition for its age. The second owner was a shop teacher and kept it in perfect running condition.

The paint is original to the truck. The bed came from the factory in black because at the time it was an extra cost to have the bed painted the same color as the cab. This truck is truly a time capsule.

These old Dodge pick ups are what a lot of people think of when they think of old classic trucks. These late 40's Dodge pickups were redesigned with larger windows, a higher and wider cab along with a bigger wheel base and box. Our '48 Pilot-house pickup is packing a 350 CID V8 under the hood. On top is a Magneti Marelli 4 BBL carb. Porcelain headers with Flow Master custom exhaust are on this truck and the motor is tied to a THM-200R4 transmission. Tony's 5-star Transmission in Peoria, AZ rebuilt the transmission. The truck has 9' disc brakes with rear drum brakes.
