1936 Ford 68

View Description

This road-ready Ford 5-window coupe was built for both show and go, we believe this runner of a '36 Ford has just about everything you could ever want in a hot rod. Under the hood is a Blueprint Engines 355 CID small block Chevy V8, backed by a GM 700R 4-speed automatic trans with a 2600 RPM stall converter that spins a 3. 42:1 Eaton Posi rear end, giving it both low-end acceleration capability and highway cruisin' friendly RPM on the freeway. Fire up the 355 and you'll discover a nice deep rumble, enhanced by the ceramic coated headers and full 2. 5' dual exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers. Grab the custom billet column shift lever, pull it down into drive, mash the go-pedal, and get catapaulted into the glory days of street rods and custom cruisers. You'll love driving the car, because it handles and steers like a modern car - equipped with a FatMan front end with power rack, pinion steering, and power front disc brakes, you'll feel totally in control wherever you go. When you pull into the drive-in burger shack, you'll get tons of attention when you flip the engine covers up - chrome and polished billet accessories...

1936 Ford Cabriolet

View Description

The year was 1936 and while this Ford was rolling off the assembly line, a gallon of gas was just 10 cents. Man, those were the days.

Powered by the numbers matching 221 CID flathead V8, this classic Ford has just 78,784 original miles; talk about a time Machine. Let's get back to that lovely flathead V8 engine. The engine was professionally rebuilt, blueprinted & balanced. We beg you to watch the video and listen to it purr. Dual Stromberg carburetors feed the mechanical masterpiece. Sanderson exhaust headers allow the engine to breathe out freely through dual pipes creating a symphony of sound. It also features (2) high flow electric water pumps, a high flow electric fuel pump, 2 electric cooling fans on the upgraded radiator, a 12-volt power alternator. The great sounding and smooth-running flathead is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears & has a new clutch installed.

This Frame-Off Restoration shows very well and is ready for its next adventure. It's hard to fathom all the things this vintage automobile has seen. Professionally painted in 'Sun Gold' (GM-WA858) paint and paired with black vinyl and a rumble seat, the 30s era comes...

1936 Ford Model 68

View Description

This body-style of full-size Ford was sold from 1935-1938 and sold extremely well, with the V8 DeLuxe cars such as this '36 representing the pinnacle of accessible style and practicality for the working American family at that time. The smart Gray exterior paintjob is complimented by other prominent features such as the three horizontal chrome stripes on either side of the hood, whitewall tires and the classic spare tire holder in the back. Powering this Ford is its period-correct powertrain with the odometer reading just over 33,000 miles (not verified as 'actual' by Gateway Classic Cars other than mileage statement on vehicle Title)- a 221 CID 'Flathead' V8 that is totally stock and a 3-speed manual transmission with the shifter located on the floor to get you through the gears. Ford estimated the output from this V8 in 1936 to be approximately 85 horsepower, which was competitive in those days! Open the stylish suicide doors of this Model 68 and you'll find that just like the rest of the car, the interior has been preserved and is a time capsule. Tan cloth bench seats adorn the front and rear while factory-style gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, speedometer, water temperature and...
