Debuting all the way back in 1955, the Thunderbird was Ford's immediate response to the newly marketed mighty Corvette. It was rushed from idea to prototype in under a year! The Thunderbird would become one of Ford's longest produced cars. Spanning from 1955-1997, and 2002-2005, the Thunderbird would see not just a few redesigns, but 11 generations in total! This model is from '78, a 7th generation and a Diamond Jubilee to boot! The Diamond Jubilee was made to commemorate Ford's 75th anniversary as an automotive manufacturer. Offering nearly every available option and with exclusive colors it pushed the price to nearly double the base model!
