Dubbed the name 'Betty', this LTD wagon has been in many television shows, movies, and commercials. Most recently she was Betty Drapers car in seasons 6 & 7 of the AMC TV show, Mad Men. Betty was manufactured in Los Angeles and has spent majority of her life in Southern California. She was originally purchased by collector Hiram Bond. In 2004 she was purchased by collector Jeff Frank, who lent Betty out to various film projects.
Cosmetically, Betty is in excellent shape and has been repainted only once. Mr. Frank had the wood decals on the side removed, then applied a coat of the original color, Red, before adhering new wood decals. 1966 was the first year they introduced the 'magic door' which is a lift gate that opens from side to side, and up and down.
